The Seawolves are the top scoring team in the GNAC and fourth in the nation scoring 84.5 points per game. The Saints knocked off the Seawolves on January 11th, 85-78.
The men get a second chance at Northwest Nazarene after they fell apart in the second half and gave up a 14 point halftime lead in an 80-76 loss in Nampa. Since then, the Crusaders (3-7) have dropped five straight games and are a half game behind the Saints, Montana State-Billings and Western Oregon for sixth place in the GNAC. Women: Evergreen vs. Northwest – CRC Gymnasium – 5:30 PM
Men: Evergreen vs. Northwest – CRC Gymnasium – 7:30 PM
Important Cascade Conference game tonight at the CRC Gymnasium when the Evergreen women host in-state rival Northwest at 5:30 PM. The Geoducks (6-5 CCC) are riding a four game winning streak and come into tonight a game back of the third place Eagles (7-4 CCC). The two teams met on January 4th in Kirkland and the Geoducks took home a 69-61 win behind 17 points from Sadee Jones and Sammi Clark. Northwest is 15-8 this season overall while the Geoducks are 10-8.
Can the Evergreen men make it two in a row? They will have to pull off the upset to make it happen against a Northwest (7-4 CCC) team that beat them pretty easily in early January, 87-73. But the Geoducks (2-9 CCC) have been a different team since then and with the emergence of Dre Taylor and the three point shooting of Kyle Calhoun, they are suddenly poised for an upset on any given night.

Big rematch on tap tonight when the Black Hills girls travel to Lacey to take on River Ridge. The Wolves took the first meeting on January 3rd when Taylor Sauls drilled a buzzer beating three pointer to give them the 62-61 win and solidify their place as the #2 team in the 2A EvCo. A Hawks win tonight could put that #2 spot back in play with WF West still looming on Black Hills’ schedule. River Ridge is ranked #4 in the latest AP 2A girls basketball rankings while Black Hills is right behind them at #5.
Over at Olympia High School, the Bears host South Kitsap with third place in the 3A Narrows on the line. Oly sits at 6-3 in league while the Wolves are just a game behind them at 5-4. The two teams met on January 8th in Port Orchard and South Kitsap came out on top, 40-38.
