Evergreen’s Season Comes to an End in Ashland

Seniors Sammi Clark and Jessica Denmon scored 22 and 12 points respectively but the Monica Heuer era at Evergreen came to an end with an 80-70 road loss to Southern Oregon in the first round of the Cascade Conference Championships. Denmon also hauled in 14 rebounds in her final collegiate game. The Geoducks were unable to stop Autumn Durand, who scored 30 points with nine boards to move the Raiders into the CCC semifinals.
Evergreen finished the season at 14-12, their best winning percentage in program history and second most wins in program history, second only to the 2004-2005 team’s 16 wins, and only the second season with a winning percentage. Heuer ended her 13 year run as head coach with a 111-257 record. Her teams made the CCC playoffs seven times but never hosted a postseason game and never won a playoff game.
