Today (12/6): Geoducks Open CCC Play; Bears Battle Blazers

Evergreen vs. Eastern Oregon – CRC Gymnasium – 5:30 PM

The Evergreen women come into the Cascade Conference opener tonight riding a four game winning streak, all over NCAA Division III teams. The Geoducks were picked to finish ninth in the CCC and will have a stiff test when they host CCC preseason favorite Eastern Oregon. The Mountaineers are 7-3, though three of those wins came in romps over independent Walla Walla.


Men’s basketball

Evergreen vs. Eastern Oregon – CRC Gymnasium – 7:30 PM

The Evergreen won their first game of the season against UBC-Okanogan but haven’t picked up a win since and are 1-4 in counting games this season. They have also lost four exhibition games including three games against NCAA Division I opponents. Their last time out nearly two weeks ago, they gave the Cal Maritime Keelhaulers a good game before falling 79-75.

Eastern Oregon is 8-1 in the early going but have won six of their games against New Hope Christian, Multnomah University and Walla Walla, all independent or NCCCAA schools. The Mountaineers were picked to finish 5th in the CCC.
