Saint Martin’s vs. Central Washington

The Saint Martin’s women open up GNAC play tonight when they host Central Washington at 7:00 PM. The Saints are a head scratcher of a team right now. They won three straight games including a convincing 68-30 win over Northwest on November 23rd at Marcus Pavilion. But a week later, the Saints dropped a 78-76 decision to those same Eagles in Bellingham and then followed that up with a 17 point loss to PLU on the next day. They sit at 3-3 overall.

Central Washington is 3-2 this season and is led by Jessica VanDyke, who is having a breakout beginning to her senior season scoring 21.4 points per game with 7.2 rebounds. Olympia’s Lauren Herseth is on the Wildcats roster but has not joined the basketball team yet. She is also a Central volleyball player and will play for the Wildcats in the NCAA regionals.
