Jessican Denmon’s buzzer beater as the first half ended gave Evergreen a 14 point lead but College of Idaho fought back to get within three with 46 seconds left before Denmon hit three free throws to seal the deal and give Evergreen the 73-69 win. Denmon finished the game with 19 points and Sadee Jones recorded a double-double with 15 points and 16 boards. LaNiecia Weatherspoon and Sammi Clark added 12 and 11 points respectively.
The win keeps Evergreen in the hunt to host their first home playoff game. They currently are tied for fifth at 10-7 and will need a win at first place Eastern Oregon tomorrow and some help to get up to fourth.

College of Idaho scored 67 points in the first half and coasted to a 114-61 drubbing of Evergreen. The Yotes took 103 shots in the game, 38 more than the Geoducks, and outrebounded Evergreen 72-31 including 35 offensive rebounds compared to just five for TESC. Cody Peters and Marc Taylor were the only double-digit scorers for the Geoducks with 11 each.

Lincoln built a 10 point lead with a 22 point third quarter and held off a fierce Timberline rally to knock off the Blazers 68-66 in the district semifinals at Rogers High School in Puyallup. Timberline tied the game at 66 with 38 seconds left but the Abes’ Justice Martion hit a shot in the paint to give them the lead. Donaven Dorsey missed the game winning shot and the Blazers dropped into the third/fourth place game against Foss on Saturday at Clover Park High School in Lakewood. Both teams have already qualified for regionals. Dorsey finished with 22 points in the loss.

Chandler Tracey drove in the first run of the game with a single in the fifth inning and hit a solo home run in the seventh to lead Saint Martin’s to their first win of the season, a 2-1 victory over Willamette at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. Zach Carter pitched seven scoreless innings to pick up the win.
