Olympia senior Khalil Matheney and 2013 Timberline grad Elijah Sanders signed their letters of intent on Wednesday to play basketball for SPSCC next season.

After a strong career for the Blazers that ended with a state appearance in 2013, the 6-6 Sanders went to Central Wyoming College and played in two games last season before leaving the program. It is not clear whether or not he will be a freshman or a sophomore for the Clippers.

Matheney, 6-0 guard, scored 14.6 points per game as a senior for the Bears and scored a season high 24 points against Gig Harbor on January 17th.

The two locals join California high schooler Nick Springer and Condordia University transfer Robbie Jackson as recent signees to Aaron Landon’s squad that played most of the 2013-2014 season with just five players clocking meaningful minutes.

Also signing an NWAACC LOI on Wednesday was River Ridge senior center Rebecca Stevenson. She will continue her playing career at Wenatchee Valley next season.
