Saint Martin’s shot 52 percent in the second half to turn around a 10 point halftime deficit and finish off 2013 with a 66-61 win over South Dakota School of Mines.
Evan Coulter led the Saints with 15 points including two straight baskets late in the second half that gave the them a 55-51 lead that they would never relinquish. Ryan Rogers chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds and Riley Carel added 11 points in the win.

Down two with under 30 second left, Dre Taylor missed a layup at the :19 mark and Frankie Johnson turned the ball over with three second left and Toby Roth hit a pair of free throws to ice the game for Corban, 75-71.
Taylor, making his debut for the Geoducks, scored 21 points off the bench and Johnson, Marc Taylor and Kyle Calhoun all scored in double digits with 13, 11 and 10 point respectively.

Austin Bonds scored 22 points for SPSCC but Portland CC turned the ball over just six times, took 40 more shots than SPSCC and made 14 three pointers to take a 99-66 win in the first round of the Portland Crossover Tournament.

Angela Gelhar hit four three pointers and finished a three point play in the middle of a 10-0 run in the second half and finished with 18 points to lead Saint Martin’s to their eighth win of the season, a 69-42 victory over South Dakota School of Mines.
The Saints hit 10 three pointers total and scored just nine field goals from inside the three point line. They also hit 21 free throws, 13 more than the Hardrockers.
Megan Wiedeman came off the bench and scored 11 points in the win.

Sammi Clark’s shot at the buzzer fell short and Evergreen fell to Corban, 66-63. Jessica Denmon and Brittany Gray led the Geoducks with 16 points each and Clark added 15. The Geoducks fell to 0-3 in the Cascade Conference.
