Saint Martin’s 63, Puget Sound 52 – Recap
Chelsea Haskey scored 22 points and hauled in seven rebounds and Jordyn Richardson hit three three pointers in the second half and Saint Martin’s erased a one point deficit at the half to take a 63-52 decision over the University of Puget Sound in an exhibition game at Marcus Pavilion.
Richardson’s three pointer at the 12 minute mark capped off a 22-4 run to open the second half that gave the Saints a 49-32 lead. Haskey scored eight points during the run and Angela Gelhar, Jori Skorpik, Brooke Paulson and Richardson each hit threes in that span.
The Loggers went on a 15-2 run over the next eight minutes and closed the deficit to just four at 51-47 when Erin Stumbaugh hit a three pointer with 6:32 remaining. But Richardson answered with her second three of the half to stretch the lead to seven and gave the Saints an 11 point lead on her third three with 2:52 left to play and the Loggers never threatened again.
Krista Stabler scored 10 points on the night, including eight points in the first half that helped erase an early 10 point lead by the Loggers. Paulson finished with eight points and five boards and Ciara Pedroni pulled down six rebounds for the Saints.
Erin Stumbaugh and Amanda Forshay scored 11 and 10 points respectively for UPS.

River Ridge 2, Shelton 0
Timberline dropped their first 3A Narrows League match of the season with a 2-1 loss to Wilson and finished 11-1-0 in league, ahead of the Rams, who were 9-1-2. The Blazers next play either Hazen or Auburn Mountainview in a district playoff game on Thursday at 7:30 PM in Sumner.
Despite a 2-1 loss to Mount Tahoma tonight, North Thurston finished as the #3 seed out of the 3A Narrows League and will play either Kelso or Prairie on Thursday at 5:30 PM at Stadium Bowl.
