Today (6/17): Bombers baseball; Capital Stage Race wraps
If you need your Father’s Day morning baseball fix, head over to Crandall Field at Olympia High School to see the Capital City Bombers adult baseball team take on the Tacoma Cascades. First pitch is at 10:00 AM.
The Capital Stage Race comes to a close today following the queen stage, a 47-90 mile road race that starts in Grand Mound, goes all the way to Satsop for the pro men’s divisions and back. Ian Mckissick of Audi/Kryki Sports is leading the men’s pro division after three stages but Jesse Reams of Hagen Berman is just 40 seconds off the pace. Ivy Audrain of Stranamanti Cycling leads the women’s pro division but there are ten cyclists within a minute of the overall lead heading into the final stage including Jennifer Burtner of Olympia Orthopaedics Associates.
Racing starts at 9:30 AM from Rochester Primary School and the pro and advanced divisions start their rides at 1:20 PM.
