Tonight (1/24): Saints women host Nanooks; Capital faces conference test
Women’s basketball
Saint Martin’s vs. Alaska-Fairbanks – Marcus Pavilion – 7:00 PM
Saint Martin’s returns to Marcus Pavilion tonight when they face Alaska-Fairbanks in the first game of an important series against two struggling Alaska squads. The Saints currently sit at 3-4 in GNAC play, tied for sixth place with Central Washington. The top six teams in the conference make the GNAC tournament to be played at Saint Martin’s in March. The Nanooks are just 2-13 overall this season and are dead last in the GNAC at 0-7.

Boys basketball
Capital vs. Centralia – Capital HS – 7:30 PM
Important game in the 2A EvCo tonight when Capital squares off against Centralia at Capital High School. The Cougars are currently tied with River Ridge for second place at 6-3 while Centralia sits just a half game back at 5-3. The two teams met on December 20th in Centralia and the Tigers handed Capital a four point loss.

Boys basketball
Olympia 60, Shelton 24
Lincoln 71, North Thurston 35
Foss 78, Timberline 75
Timberline took a 67-49 lead after three quarters in Tacoma but Foss mounted a furious comeback outscoring the Blazers 29-8 in the fourth to take home a 78-75 win. Dezmyn Trent scored 43 points including 22 in the fourth for the Falcons. Donaven Dorsey scored 23 and Tyler Gartner added 17 in a losing effort for the Blazers.

Men’s basketball
Highline 78, SPSCC 68 – Box score
South Puget Sound’s Kole Podowicz scored 23 points and Jamey Smith added 16 but it wasn’t enough as Highline knocked off the Clippers 78-68. Ira Haywood led the Thunderbirds with 15 points off the bench. The Clippers fell to 1-6 in the NWAACC’s West Region.
