At 14-7, the Saints are second in the GNAC, 4 1/2 games behind MSU Billings. The Clan are 15-9 in the GNAC and are just half a game behind the Saints.

Sam Munger gave up three runs in the first inning of game one but that was all Saint Martin’s would allow in their 11-3 game one victory. Joslyn Eugenio had a two run double in a four run bottom of the first inning that put the Saints on top for good and she relieved Munger in the second inning and pitched four scoreless innings giving up just one hit along the way. In game two, Taylor Bakos pitched a complete game, four hit shutout to push the Saints record to 22-10-1 overall and 12-5 in the GNAC.

Gueller is signed to play for Washington State next season but pitched in front of a bunch of Major League Baseball scouts today. In game two, the Rams held a 4-0 lead through five innings but lost in the bottom of the seventh inning to drop to 4-3 on the season. W.F. West is 7-0 and ranked #1 in class 2A.

I’m currently at the RAC where it is 31 degrees and foggy but it looks like it might be a pretty nice day. Sadly, the weather report tells a less optimistic story, right in the middle of today’s scheduled games.

The red hot Saint Martin’s softball team and GNAC player of the week Morgan Klemm hosts Northwest Nazarene this afternoon. The Saints are 20-10 on the season and and are coming off a 6-2 California road trip. They are third in the GNAC at 10-5. Northwest Nazarene comes into the game at 6-21 overall and are fifth in the GNAC at 5-13. The doubleheader starts at 2:00 PM.

And in high school baseball action, Timberline travels to Capital to take on the Cougars in a 3A Narrows League contest. Game time is at 4:00 PM.
