Matt Mercer was fantastic for Timberline but Bainbridge’s Brett Green was just a little bit better on the mound and at the plate. Green gave up just one run on five hits over six innings and drove in a pair of runs in Bainbridge’s 2-1 win in the 3A state regionals at Wheeler Field in Centralia. Mercer went six innings allowing just four hits while striking out seven batters. The Blazers finished the season at 23-3.
