2A State Tournament First Round
Tumwater 52, Sehome 22 – The Olympian

Tyrus Snow rushed for 171 yard and three touchdowns and Christian Cummings 173 yards and a touchdown to lead Tumwater to a 52-22 win over Sehome in the opening round of the state playoffs at Tumwater Stadium.

The T-Birds jumped out to a 14-0 lead on Cummings’ 71 yard rushing TD and a fumble recovery in the endzone by Dayton Newell. Snow scored the next four touchdowns in the second and third quarters to extend Tumwater’s lead to 42-8.

The T-Birds continued their undefeated season and will travel to Buckley to take on White River in the quarterfinals next Friday or Saturday.
