Dee Dee Montgomery resigned as Saint Martin’s head track & field coach today less than a month after taking the job. The 1996 Atlanta Olympics participant has taken an administrative position at another university. The search is on for another head coach, the third since since Julie Sullivan stepped down in January. Chad Colwell was the interim coach when Sullivan stepped down and had the interim tag removed in April. Evergreen grad and former coach Jason McConnell was named head coach of the cross country team today as well. – Link

Tumwater grad Jamie Bryant was one of the first 2013 recruits to verbally commit to the University of Washington football team but is now having to watch this season from Tumwater taking classes part time at SPSCC and working out at the high school after he was asked to greyshirt and not join the team until 2014. – Link

The senior will lead a Wolves team that has a new coach, Tika Chandler, after her coach for the previous three years, Kara Peterson, left for Saint Martin’s. McCoy has verbally committed to play collegiate volleyball at Central Washington. – Link
