Tuesday scoreboard: Clippers swept in home opener; Rams, Blazers rock Tacoma schools; Oly blanks Falcons

The South Puget Sound softball team played their first home games and league games in two years today falling to Highline 15-3 and 9-7 in doubleheader action at The RAC. Celena Edwards hit her first collegiate home run in game one and Jordanne Krumpols hit another homer in game two for the Clippers.


High school baseball

North Thurston 14, Wilson 1
Timberline 9, Lincoln 1

Tyler Ridgeway allowed just one hit over six innings in North Thurston’s 14-1 victory over Wilson. In the last five 3A Narrows League games, the Rams have outscored the three Tacoma schools 67-2 and have given up just five hits.


High school softball

Olympia 14, Foss 0
Yelm 7, North Thurston 1
Gig Harbor 10, Timberline 0

Nikki Schroeder went 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs and Brianna Bell hit a two run homer in Olympia’s 14-0 win over Foss. Maddy Stensby went three innings to pick up the win as the Bears held the Falcons hitless.
