Tonight (11/9): T-Birds open state football playoffs
One first round state tournament football game highlights the schedule tonight when Tumwater takes on Steilacoom at Tumwater Stadium at 7:00 PM.
Tumwater has won nine straight games and since a 21-20 win over WF West on September 28th, the T-Birds have outscored their opponents 183-38 in five wins. However, they will be without a handful of unnamed players tonight, suspended in the aftermath of a party over the weekend. Judging by Twitter, QB Jayden Croft and RB/WR Andrew Brown were not involved and will play.
Steilacoom opened the season with three straight losses including a 36-21 loss to North Thurston, the two teams only common opponent (Tumwater beat the Rams 28-12). But the Sentinels went 6-1 to finish the season and outscored their opponents 152-56 over their last four games and finished tied for second in the 2A SPSL.
