Olympia High School has hired 27 year-old Tim Ahearn as their new athletics director, Meg Wochnick reports today. Ahearn was the sports facility manager for Seattle Public Schools and the head baseball coach at Sammamish High School before he was hired to lead the Bears. Ahearn is a 2003 graduate of Eastlake High School and played baseball at Texas Tech where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences. Ahearn replaces the retired John Amidon.
