Today (6/21): PSCL keeps rolling

This week’s PSCL series continue today with another three games at the RAC and Saint Martin’s.

Game one at the RAC pits the Tumwater Brewers against the Hawks Prairie Cardinals. The Cardinals got the better of the Brewers last night, 6-4 to run their league record to 2-2. The Brewers dropped to 1-3. Daniel Flahie’s (Grays Harbor CC) .388 batting average leads the way for the Cardinals with Chandler Tracy (Saint Martin’s) right behind him at .355. Tracy and Flahie also lead Hawks Prairie in RBI with seven and six respectively. The Brewers have struggled offensively and have only one regular hitting over .300. Kyle Holtman (Saint Clair County CC) leads the way with his .308 average and four RBI. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM.

Over at Saint Martin’s, the Lacey Saints and Nisqually Silvers continue their series after the Saints got the 6-3 win yesterday. Quinn Hartman (Green River CC) is batting .500 and has stolen seven bases to lead the Saints while Devin Ferguson (Centralia College, North Thurston) leads the team with nine RBI. Jordan Falcon (New Mexico Highlands University) is 5-for-12 in limited games for the Silvers and Brandon Evans (Colorado State-Pueblo) is hitting .318 to lead the Silvers’ regulars. The Saints are 3-1 in league play while the Silvers are still looking for their first win in games that count. First pitch is at 5:00 PM.

In the nightcap, the West Olympia Linx and Olympia Athletics play the rubber match of their three game series. The Linx handled the A’s on Tuesday, 8-3 but the A’s snapped the Linx seven game winning streak with a wild 3-2 victory in the tenth inning yesterday. Chris Womac’s (Green River, Olympia) .480 average and eight stolen bases paces the Linx while Kyle Thomson (Yakima Valley CC) has raised his average to .353 by going 5-for-8 in the series for the A’s. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
