Today (4/24): T-Birds soccer hopes to stay undefeated
Kevin Weyand and the Tumwater soccer team hope to stay undefeated tonight when they take on River Ridge at South Sound Stadium at 7:00 PM. The T-Birds are 9-0 in the 2A EvCo while The Hawks are just 2-7 in conference but did give Tumwater a close game on March 26th, losing 2-1. Weyand, a German exchange student, has scored 15 goals in 12 games this season.
Across town, North Thurston travels to Tumwater Stadium to face cellar dwelling Black Hills. The Wolves are looking to avenge their worst loss of the season, a 6-0 win by the Rams on March 27th. North Thurston is 5-4 in conference while Black Hills is 1-9. First kick is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
One baseball game in town today when Tumwater hosts first place W.F. West. Wazzu bound Mitch Gueller and Logan James combined to throw a two-hitter in a 11-0 Bearcats win in the two teams first meeting this season on March 23rd. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
