Today (4/23): Narrow League baseball leaders meet; Undefeated T-Birds softball hosts Tigers
The top two teams in the 3A Narrow League meet this afternoon when Timberline plays host to Yelm at 4:00 PM. The Blazers are on top of the league standings at 7-1 but the Tornadoes are just a half game behind at 7-2. Charlie Hinson, Rick Ahlf and Ryan Tydingco will be honored on Senior Day with festivities starting at 3:45 PM.
In other 3A Narrows League action, Capital plays Foss at Waits Field at 4:00 PM. The Cougars are just 1-5 in league while Foss is third at 5-3.
The undefeated Tumwater softball team hosts Centralia at 4:30 PM. The T-Birds have only given up one run in their last five games with Kierstin Smith picking up the win in four games over that stretch. The two teams met once this season on April 10th and the Tigers gave Tumwater their toughest challenge. The T-Birds scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning and held on to pick up a 9-5 extra inning win.
