Today (4/22): Saints baseball, softball hosts Wildcats
Big day on the Saint Martin’s campus with two important doubleheaders against Central Washington on tap.
Saints baseball starts it off at noon in a pair of games that could either keep them in second place or land them in last. Western Oregon leads the GNAC standings by eight games at 16-2. The other four teams are separated by just one game far behind. Saint Martin’s is 9-11 in conference while Central is 7-11. Montana State Billings and Northwest Nazarene are 10-14.
Central Washington softball comes into town as giant killers having swept first place Montana State Billings yesterday. The sweep kept the Saints’ conference champion hopes alive and taking two from the Wildcats today could move them to three behind the Yellowjackets with a trip to Billings still ahead next week. A win today would also give the Saints their first 30 win season in program history.
The Saints will honor four seniors – Morgan Klemm, Megan Antonovich, Kelsie McGladrey and Tiffany Griffiths – in their last home games of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
