SMU baseball season preview

Coming off the best year in program history, head coach Ken Garland and the Saint Martin’s baseball team have made a lot of changes and are welcoming a lot of new faces to the program.

Two starting pitchers – seniors Tommy DeBoer and Nate O’Bryan – and their closer Kaleb Wilson return but the Saints will rely on a bunch of freshman to fill out the rest of the pitching staff. And in the field, five starters return but all of them will be playing new positions including second-team all-conference catcher Zach Leonard, who is moving to center field, and Bobby Twedt Jr., who was the second-team all-conference second baseman and will be moving to left field this season.

SMUSaints.com has the full preview. The Saints baseball team opens their season on Friday with a four game series at Cal-Poly Pomona.
